Research interests
My current affiliation is DEIS (Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems of the University of Bologna). I also collaborate with IRIDIA (Institut de Recherches Interdisciplinaires et de Développements en Intelligence Artificielle) - Université Libre de Bruxelles.
My interests are in artificial intelligence and complex systems. Main themes are:
- Metaheuristics
- Integration of Metaheuristics and Constraint Programming
- Constrained Optimization Problems and the Satisfiability Problem
- Complex networks and combinatorial optimization
- Boolean networks and other genetic regulatory network models
